Recommendations for Flat Towing 2018 Ford F-150
Question:
I am thinking about buying a 2018 ford F1 50. I have a Tiffin 40 SP bus. Should I get a smaller vehicle for a better ride. Or I am hoping it does it matter??

As long as you have all the components needed for flat towing, and they are all properly rated for the 2018 Ford F-150, you will not have any issues pulling this vehicle behind your Tiffin RV. There is no need to go to a lighter vehicle if a Ford F-150 is what you truly are wanting.
In order to flat tow any vehicle, you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring, and a supplemental braking system.
If you do end up deciding on the 2018 Ford F-150, recommendations for all of the above components are as follows:
For a base plate kit, I recommend the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit # RM-524431-4. These are confirmed to fit this truck and feature a hidden bracket design that will give your truck a nice, clean look. Then for a compatible tow bar, I highly recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain # RM-522. This tow bar has a weight capacity of 6,000 pounds and a non-binding design that will allow you to easily release your F-150 at any time, even on unlevel ground. For safety cables you can use the Roadmaster 64 Inch # RM-645.
For tow bar wiring, I like the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This kit will let you wire the truck to accept your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights. It includes a 7-wire to 6-wire Flexo-Coil electrical cord.
Then for a supplemental braking system, the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR is a great option. This is a proportional controller that will physically press down on the Ford F-150's brake pedal at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in the RV. You will just need to add the Brake-Lite Relay # RM-88400 to prevent the F-150's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
Lastly, you may need a high-low adapter in order to keep the tow bar level. I have attached an article that explains how to choose the correct one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included an article on flat towing that you might find helpful.
