Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring Harness For a 2021 Kia Sportage
Question:
Hello, I have a Kia Sportage 2021 2 wheel front-drive and was wondering if this hitch would work? how difficult are they to install? I see from the questions they are installing them in Kia Sorento and Hyundai. Do you need to make modifications or is it straightforward

For your front wheel drive 2021 Kia Sportage you will need to use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13281. This receiver is custom fit to your Sportage with no modifications needed as seen in our installation video that I have linked below.
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98841 that you found fits certain model years of the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and some Kia Sorento's, but will not fit your Sportage.
I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118698 when you install the receiver. This will make it easier to install and run the wiring before the receiver is mounted in place. The 4-way connector is needed for most small trailers you may tow and can also be used with Auxiliary Lights # C53201 in the event your hitch mounted accessory impairs the view of your tail lights to other drivers. The Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58001 will secure the 4-way connector to the end of the receiver for easy access.
Curt does recommend using the Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap for Hitch-Mounted Accessories # 18050 with any hitch mounted accessory to secure the load in place.
