Video Transcript for Titan Chain Ratchet Tie-Down Strap with Double J-Hooks Review

What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're checking out these ratchet straps from Titan Chain. They're gonna have a Double J-Hook end, here. You can see I've used our stake pocket tie down. The ratchet mechanism is right here. Really easy to use.

Easy to loosen. And also just as easy to get back to it again. Let's check it out. The ratchet straps are gonna come in a couple of different lengths. Right now, we've got the 15 foot, but they're also coming in 20 25, 27 and 30 feet.

Now they're all gonna be two inches thick, and they're all gonna have the working load limit of 3,333 pounds. The straps are made out of a durable polyester webbing. You can kinda see how it's woven together there. We've got a double stitch down the middle, that's gonna help that strength, so it's not gonna come apart when you have it really tight down on your cargo that you're carrying on your trailer. If you come down here towards the bottom, you can see the Double J-Hook, that just gives you more of a hook to go when you go to attach to your D-rings here, you see it's not just one, cause that wouldn't have a whole lot of grip.

You've got the double there, that's just gonna give you more strength and pulling down on your cargo. Moving closer at the mechanism, it operates very easily. You just pull down on this latch, that's gonna release it and then you can bring the handle all the way up here. Now, when you're pulling on this, you'll hear that snap that loosens it. Now you can operate it and reratchet it down.

It feels nice. It clicks. I like the audible clicks. It also, isn't too hard to operate. You know, sometimes when you pull on these, the spring will pop up on you. It doesn't do this on this one, even under a lot of tension, like we put on there, so I like that. It feels like it's going to hold up just fine, even the handle here. Now the handle doesn't spin as you ratchet it, or have any kind of covering, but still not a big deal. It's still easy to operate. You can get that nice pull on there to ratchet down really tight. Over here you can see the Double J-Hook underneath the stake pocket. This gives you an idea of all the different ways you can actually tie down your cargo onto your trailer. So we don't have the stake pocket insert with the D-ring on this one. So we're just gonna go underneath. But because we ratcheted it super tight, it's not going anywhere. Now we're gonna measure in between the Double J-Hook here, and the back parts just to show you how much of a gap there is. So see if it will work with your D-ring on your trailers, cause that's something you want to keep in mind. So it looks like there's about an inch of space right there in between, so just like I said, think about that. We're gonna attach it and make sure it's gonna fit. There's a lot of options out there for ratchet straps. So just make sure you check with your trailer and think about what you're going to be hauling with it and how you're going to use them. Make sure you check and work with that working load limit on those and the length of the straps, so you get the right ones for the right job. Well, that does it. Thanks for hanging out, and I hope this helped..
