How Many Watts Is Needed To Run An Advent 15,000 Btu Air Conditioner?

Sirs: Considering an Advent 15000 btu air condition to replace a Demtic 13,500. The Advent model is ACDOM25OB with a start capacitor… My question: What is required to start the air conditioner? Will a 2000 watt generator be sufficient? Thank you.

I wasn't able to find that model number, however for something similar like the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup w/ Start Capacitor # ACCOL150B, you'd need a generator with at least 3,000-watts, like the Firman 3,300-Watt Portable RV Dual Fuel Inverter Generator # FIR54FR.
