Installation of MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent on V-Nose Cargo Trailer

Question:

I have a 5x10 cargo trailer with v-front and the front triangle part of the roof has a small downward slope. Its no different than any other wedge front trailer you all would have seen that as the forward triangular part of the roof tipped downward this is a Pace Journey SE trailer. The rest of the roof will be covered with solar panels. Does the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke Item # MA00-06200K have to be mounted on a perfectly horizontal surface or could it be mounted on this forward part of the roof with slight downward slope? The installation would otherwise be exactly as they direct in the instructions, which I have reviewed. I will be reinforcing the structure under the roof to facilitate the fan mounting. Thanks for any advice.

The MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat, # MA00-06200K requires a flat surface and opening size of 14"x14" but does not require being on a surface that is perfectly horizontal to the road. This fan fits roofs 1-1/8" to 6-1/2" thick and the garnish that comes with this model is 16-3/8" x 16-3/8". So yes you can install in the manner you describe, the only thing to be aware of is that by installing in this manner you may increase the risk of water leaking in due to an alteration from the typical mounting and how it is designed and tested to operate.
