Will Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount Reduce Abuse on Trailer Tongue
Question:
I have a 21’ Chevy 5500 and it rides rough. Will this Gen Y reciever help cushion the abuse from the truck so it isn’t so rough on my trailer tongue?

Expert Reply:
The shock absorption from the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount # 325-GH-1324 will help cushion abuse on your trailer tongue and the tow vehicle. However, you need to make sure you have enough tongue weight for this to be effective. The optimal ride tongue weight is 1,600 lbs - 2,400 lbs. If you're lighter than this it won't engage and if you're heavier it won't be effective.
