Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk That Protrudes Through Bumper
Question:
I keep reading online about if I put a hitch on my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk I will have to take it to the dealer and have it flashed? I am not going to hook up any wire harness to pull any trailers because all I am going to use the hitch for is a bicycle rack that slides into the hitch, if I am not going to use any wiring do I need to get it flashed? And will this hitch effect my parking sensors going off when my bike rack is NOT attached to the hitch? Thank you very much

Expert Reply:
While there is one hitch for your 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that exits through the bumper, the # e73ZR does not, as the receiver will be below the bumper of your Jeep. The only option for a hitch that protrudes the bumper of your Cherokee Trailhawk is from Draw-Tite:
- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT28MR
I have added a photo of the # DT28MR installed on a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk so you can see exactly how it will look when installed on your Jeep.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56406 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
