Can a 2 Inch Ball Mount Shank be Used With Stealth Hitch Receiver on 2020 Volvo V60

I recently purchased your stealth hitch package for my 2020 Volvo V60 CC. I am wondering what the reason is behind your specifically saying NOT to use the ball mount shank with the 2inch receiver in this kit? That seems like a nice combination.

The 2" receiver that comes with the Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # SH47FRT is not rated for towing which is why it cannot be used to attached a ball mount. It is only capable of handling accessories with a maximum tongue weight of 350 lbs.

You can use the included ball mount for towing up to 3,500 lbs. Instead of installing in the receiver, this specially designed ball mount attaches to the center block. So, to be clear, the included ball mount can be used in place of the 2" receiver for towing but you cannot use a ball mount that is not designed to fit the center block on the hitch.

Yes the Stealth hitch part #SH47FR does fit the Cross Country models of the 2021 Volvo V60. We also have the part #SH47FRT which comes with the ball mount attachment and wiring.
