The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver item # e98863, for a 2008 Buick Enclave, has a three out of ten on our difficulty to install scale. It looks like a pretty simple installation there's no cutting or trimming required. You will have to temporarily detach one of the muffler braces so I recommend having your Enclave sitting for awhile where you are going to install the hitch so the muffler and surrounding area isn't hot. I have linked the instructions and also a couple of install video's from some more recent models having this hitch installed. I have also linked a video of the identical Curt hitch item # 13424 being installed on a 2008 Buick Enclave.
If you need a wiring harness to control your trailer's lighting functions, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118450. This harness plugs into existing wiring behind your Enclave's rear tail lights and requires no cutting or splicing.
You will also want the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
