Thanks so much. I went ahead and reached out to my contact at Detail DK2, and he confirmed that you either have one of two different spool designs for replacement your winch strap with the # K2WS8020. The first type requires the use of a hex wrench with pliers, and the other one only requires pliers to pull of off that pin. Both of these methods will loosen up the strap. From the looks of your photos, it looks like you have the hex bolt version (the opening on the black part of the pin). If you are still having trouble, feel free to respond and I will have some other troubleshooting methods for you.
