You will want to use the Replacement Winch Strap for Detail K2 Snowplows # K2WS8020. This strap is rated for the weight of your Detail K2 Snowplow # K2AVAL8826. The working load is 1,500lbs with a break strength of 3,000lbs.

The Replacement Strap for Bulldog Winch Snow Plow # BDW62GR is designed to be used on winches for ATV/UTV snow plows.

The black wire of the #K2WR100 does run to the negative post of the battery. I attached a picture that shows how it wires up. The picture might look a bit different since it's an older model but the wiring is the same.
