Difference Between Trailer Hitch Receivers For 2013 Kia Soul
Question:

Expert Reply:
The two hitches that fit your 2013 Kia Soul - the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11110 and Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24839 - are very similar. Sportframe is just what Draw-Tite calls some of their hitches, so it really means that it is a Class I or II hitch (in this case a Class I).
The Curt is also a Class I and the only difference between the two is we found the Draw-Tite had better bumper and ground clearances when we installed both on a '13 Kia Soul. Because of how close they are otherwise, I do recommend the Draw-Tite:
- Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24839
You'll get about 3/4" more bumper clearance and 1/4" more ground clearance with the Draw-Tite, which is especially important for accessories like a bike rack, as it will keep the rack off the ground and away from Kia, keeping both safe.
