Swing Out Adapter and Bike Rack for a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
I want to purchase a bike carrying system for a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe. We will use it locally, but also to transport 2 bikes between Minnesota and South Florida. Im not sure which system to go with. Would a rooftop system or swinging rack system that mounts to a receiver hitch be best? Thank you,

I recommend going with a hitch mounted bike rack that attaches to a swing away system because of ease of use and potential clearance issues. If your 2020 Hyundai Sante Fe doesn't already have a hitch receiver the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13195. I have attached a picture of what it will look like installed on a Sante Fe.
For a swing away adapter, I recommend the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2" Hitches item # Y02483. The pivoting hitch extender lets you swing your existing bike rack 90 degrees away from the rear of your Hyundai.
The Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes item # Y02443 would be a great bike rack and work perfectly for with your setup. It has ratcheting hooks and wheel straps that hold your bikes by their wheels with no frame contact. It has the capacity to hold two bikes that weigh up to 60 lbs apiece.
