The parts needed to install the # RED44FR Redarc Tow Pro Elite will depend on how your 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped.
If your vehicle is equipped with the factory tow package which includes the 7-way trailer connector at the rear bumper, you'll have a simple plug and play installation. In addition to the Tow-Pro Elite, you'll need the # TK93VR wiring harness and a # 331-TPH-017 adapter harness. The # TK93VR will plug into the tow package port located under the dash above and behind the OBDII port, up above where the driver's left knee would be. The adapter would plug into the # TK93VR harness, and the other end would plug into the control unit for the Tow Pro Elite brake controller.
If your Grand Cherokee does NOT have the tow package, you'll need to hardwire the controller which isn't a huge deal. You'll begin by installing a functioning 4 pole trailer connector, using part # 118727 to access the lighting circuits for the trailer to use. You'll also need the # ETBC7 brake controller install kit. The kit includes all the wire, hardware and circuit breakers needed to complete the install. It also includes the adapter to convert the 4 pole connector provided by the # 118727 to a 7-way.
