Snow Tire Chain Recommendation For 225-60R16 Tires in Snow And Ice
Question:
I just bought some Konig self adjusting for my Ridgeline. Would any of the Konig type work for my Subaru? Also, would you recommend chaining up the front or rear tires on my vehicles. Thanks

For your situation you'll want a really good pair of snow tire chains that give your tire full coverage and links that provide a lot of grip; the option I highly recommend that will fit your 225-60R16 tires are from Pewag:
- Pewag Snox Pro Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains # PWSXP560
The Pewag # PWSXP560 are a diamond pattern, which is important because the chains cover more of your tire than horizontal patterns. The diamond-shape pattern means more of the chain is going to contact the ground and the snow and ice, for added grip.
They are also square links, which is the best option for the type of links in both snow and ice. They catch more than other link shapes so you'll get better overall traction. The # PWSXP560 are also made of nickel manganese alloy steel, which means they are resistant to corrosion, which is important since they'll be used for so many months.
