Best Trailer Hitch Receiver For Carrying A Bike Rack On a 2009 Honda Accord

I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11496 as being the best receiver for your 2009 Honda Accord. The cross tube has plates on both the bottom and top of the receiver to give it additional strength where others only have a plate on one side. Since all the receivers available for your Accord are Class I you will only be able to carry 2 bikes maximum.
The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH12B will accommodate 2 bikes up to 40lbs each with a 25" to 29" tire size. Since this rack uses wheel clamps you will not be able to use this with bikes that have fenders unless you remove the front fender for hauling. If you have a front fender an wish to not remove it when hauling the bikes let me know what bikes you have and I can make sure the rack is compatible with those bikes.
You will want to install a Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118420 so that you will be able to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with the bike rack. These lights are needed when the view of your tail lights is obstructed from the drivers on the road behind you.
