Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for Towing With 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe

The first thing you will need for your 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe to be able to tow a trailer is a hitch. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C34ER. This Class III hitch has a 2" receiver with a maximum gross trailer weight of 4,000 lbs and maximum tongue weight of 600 lbs. Make sure to consult your owner's manual to see what your vehicle is capable of towing. You will be limited by whichever is lower, the vehicle or hitch capacity. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty and is assembled in the USA.

You are also going to need some wiring for your trailer's signal lights. I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR. This plugs directly into existing wiring and gives you a 4-way connection at the back of your vehicle.

In order to complete your setup, you will also want a ball mount. I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, along with a ball mount bag to store everything in. The tow different mounts allow you to have up to a 3" rise and 4" drop.

What you'll need is the 4-way kit part #CU94FR and then to convert it to a 7-way all you'd need is the part #37185 which will bolt right up to the 7-way bracket your vehicle has currently.
