2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Trailer Hitch Setup

Question:

Hello, Im looking to set-up my 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe for towing but before I purchase anything Id like confirmation that what Im buying will be the proper equipment. As for the hitch part #C34ER, it looks like it works on the 2021 model but Im not seeing anywhere that its confirmed to work on the 2022 even though there doesnt seem to be any differences in the vehicle. The wiring harness part #CU94FR is confirmed to work with the 2022 Santa Fe but I see a not stating that you must have the tow pkg. Im not sure what that means and am seeking guidance. I thought I was simply purchasing this to plug into existing vehicle wiring to allow for me to have the tow pkg. Thank you in advance for your time and advice. Scott

Curt hasn't been able to obtain a 2022 Santa Fe to do a test fit on, but we've done extensive research on the vehilcle, and have found that the only rear-of-vehicle difference between the 2021 and 2022 models is that they've added an XRT trim level.

We can state with certainly that the Curt 13473 which we sell as part # C34ER will fit the 2022 Santa Fe, with the exception of the XRT trim, as we don't know to what degree that's changed the geometry of the rear of the vehicle.

For a trailer wiring harness, I'd recommend the Curt # CU94FR. If you need a ball mount and a trailer ball, use # 2753 along with # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball.

According to Curt, the # CU94FR will fit all models of the 2022 Santa Fe that weren't equipped with a trailer connector.
