hello - 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee- wire harness Question - I bought a Tekonsha monulite protector model 119179/119180 - but looks like i need part 118727 - they look like same - Can i use 119179? thanks

I recommend using the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118727 as it was specifically designed for your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Since the Tekonsha had the harness that is specifically designed for your Jeep they did not test the 119179 and are unable to say if there will be any issues with the wiring on your harness. Currently the 119179/119180 are no longer in production from Tekonsha.

I do recommend using the Mounting Brackets # 18144 and # 18140 for securing the 4-way to your receiver without having to drill into your body.

When we installed the Tekonsha trailer wiring kit part #118540 on a 2017 Ford Explorer we used the install bracket part #18144 and attached it to the bumper of the vehicle.
