Ball Mount with 7-1/2 Inch Drop For 2 Inch Receiver
Question:
Im looking for a 7 or 7.5 inch ball drop. 8 is too much. I see Curt mounts 45100 listed as 7.5 but the part number and picture list it as 8. Do you have any true 7 or 7.5 inch drop ball mounts? Regards

For reasons unknown, Curt actually rounds up to the nearest number for advertising their ball mount, which is confusing, but the true drop is 7-1/2 inches for the Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches # C45100. So this ball mount will work to get the drop you are looking for; along with the ball mount you will need a pin and clip or lock as well as a hitch ball. The complete list of parts is the following:
- Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 6-1/4" Rise, 7-1/2" Drop # C45100
- 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # C40002 or 2" Hitch Ball # 40038
- Pin and Clip for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches # C21500 or Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches # e98880
