I have a great recommendation for a roof rack system that will work on your 2006 Mini Cooper. Unfortunately, I confirmed with Thule that the Rapid Traverse Feet for Thule Crossbars - Naked Roof # TH480R will not work with your vehicle. Sadly, there is no Thule component that is designed for a bare roof on a 2006 Mini Cooper.

However, with that being said, we do have a couple systems that are confirmed to fit your vehicle:

- Inno Square Crossbars - Steel - Black - 46" # INB117
- Inno Feet for Square Crossbars - Naked Roofs # INSUT
- Short Roof Adapter Kit for Inno Square Crossbars # INJK
- Custom Fit Kit for Inno XS200, XS250, and INSU-K5 Roof Rack Feet # INK118

With this roof rack setup, you will be able to have an 80-pound weight capacity on the roof of your vehicle. As with all weight capacities, I recommend confirming with your user's manual to make sure your roof can accommodate that much weight.

If you find that your roof can accommodate over 80 pounds and you need a rack with more weight capacity, I recommend the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack - Vacuum Cup Mount # 298-SX6000B. The Monkey Bars involve the easiest installation/removal process of any of the systems we currently carry. You simply press the cups to the roof and then engage the pump on each cup several times to install. When you remove the cups, you just pull the tabs on the cups. With the Monkey Bars, it will provide a capacity up to 150 pounds. For extra theft-deterrence, I recommend the SeaSucker Cable Anchor for Cable Lock - Window Mounted # 298-BA0010 and the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891.

With both of these crossbar systems, you will be able to transport accessories and cargo on your 2006 Mini Cooper.
