When considering whether the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202 will clear a spare tire on your Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, it depends on how close your hitch receiver installs to the bumper as well as the width of your spare tire. On a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, for instance, the factory spare tire size is 285/70-17. This means that you have a width of 10.8 inches. In addition to the 10.8 inches, you have to factor in the length of recession of a compatible hitch. Since the upright bar of the Thule EasyFold XT is only 8 inches from the center of the shank's pinhole, it will not be able to fit a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

In order to know for sure whether it will clear the spare tire from your hitch, I recommend measuring the center pinhole of your hitch. If you need a hitch on your vehicle, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish # e98856. With this particular hitch, you will need a hitch extender to use the EasyFold XT with it. For a hitch extender, I recommend the # HE06. It is important to note that by using any kind of hitch adapter/extender, you will be decreasing the overall weight capacity of your hitch by 50%.

However, for a creative solution to this problem, I recommend a compatible front hitch receiver for your vehicle to accommodate the EasyFoldXT. Since you will not have to worry about spare tire clearance, you will not have the need for an alternative bike rack or a hitch extender. In order to confirm for sure what front hitches work for your Jeep, feel free to respond with the year of your Rubicon and I will recommend you the best option.
