5TH Wheel Leland 7920 Pin Box To Gooseneck Hitch Adapter That Will Reduce Road Shock and Bouncing

Question:

I have a solution to help with the chucking that you are experiencing as there is not a Reese Goosebox that fits the same bolt pattern used by the Leland 7920 Pinbox. The bolt hole spacing on your pin box is different vertically and horizontal from any of the cushioned 5th wheel pin box to gooseneck hitch pin box replacements that are currently available. I recommend either the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G for a long bed truck or their Offset Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216 for a short bed truck. Both of these adapters work similar to the Good 2 Go adapter you have but they have a poly cushions built in that will help absorb shock, vibration and bounce to give you a smoother ride. The offset adapter has a 7-1/2" offset to increase maneuverability in a short bed truck.

I have another recommendation for you, the pin box can be changed for a MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box # MR85VR. There are 3 choices available with your bolt pattern but this one is rated for trailers with a GVWR below 11,500lbs and it looks like your 2001 SunnyBrook 24CKFS has a GVWR of 8,750lbs. This pin box has a rubber spring that absorbs vibration and reduces chucking. The assembly moves on the plate up to 3" front to rear and 1-1/2" left to right to reduce jerking when you stop and start as well. To use a gooseneck adapter you will need their 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter Mounting Plate # MR37ZR. This plate is stronger to support the gooseneck adapter.
