Adding a Cushioned Pin Box To a 2003 Jayco Quest With Ability To Pull With Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

I am looking for a Reese Goose Box for my Jayco Quest. I understand that primarily you cater to Lippert. I have a 7920 Leland pin box. When will you be supplying a Goose Box that will work with the Leland? If not, why not? Is there bad blood between Reese and Leland - or do you just not like Leland pin boxes? Thanks

As I can not say for certain why there is not a Reese Goose Box that fits the Leland 7920 on your 2003 Jayco Quest, it is most likely due to no one making 5th wheel campers with a Leland 7920 pin box anymore. Since Lippert has taken over the majority of production of 5th wheel trailer frames you do not see as much variety of pin boxes as there used to be.

The only way to get a cushioned pin box that works with a goose neck mount would be to switch your pin box with a MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box # MR85VR and change the mounting plate to the 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter Mounting Plate # MR37ZR. That would allow for you to use a Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # AM3100.

You will need the Safety Chains # AM3109 since you are changing to a ball connection for your 5th wheel camper.
