Will Demco Recon Gooseneck 5th Wheel Adapter Spin Around on Gooseneck Ball

I hav a blue ox diamond hitch with a flip over ball in an 06 ram 2500 4x4 8foot bed...what keeps this hitch base from spinning in the bottom of the bed or rocking and denting the bed?2-5/16

The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045 referenced in your question uses a coupler at the base to securely attach to a standard 2-5/16 inch diameter gooseneck ball. Top and side coupler bolts hold it in place so that it doesn't move around on the bed or rock back and forth. I have attached an image from the install manual just so you can get a better picture of this.
The only thing you will want to check on your Blue Ox Diamond Hitch is the height of the hitch ball itself. The Recon isn't compatible with high-rise balls so you will need to make sure that the height from the truck bed to the top of your hitch ball is no more than 5 inches.
