Question:

Im very ignorant when it comes to this, my husband wants one of these, will the class III for a 2010 rogue be sturdy enough to transport a good sized lawn mower, push mower and hand tools like racks and such all on a 4x8 trailer? Just want to make sure. Thank you!

The Draw-Tite Class III trailer hitch, part # 75902 you mentioned has a 3500 lb towing, 350 lb tongue weight (the maximum amount of weight that can safely be suspended from the hitch) capacity. This hitch is NOT compatible with Krom models. However, these capacities will be limited by the actual towing capacity of the Rouge, which is lower. I did some online research, and found that the 2010 Nissan Rogue with the CVT transmission with the manual shift mode is capable of towing up to 1500 lbs, and non-manual shift mode equipped models are limited to 1000 lbs. The maximum tongue weight capacity for both models is 150 lbs.

This means that the weight of your trailer plus all its contents can weigh no more than 1000 or 1500 lbs, depending on how the vehicle is equipped. The tongue weight applied to the trailer ball cannot exceed 150 lbs. I will link you to an FAQ article that illustrates how to determine the total weight and tongue weight of your trailer.

The hitch will be plenty strong enough for what you are wanting to do, but the capacities of the vehicle itself might be the limiting factor.

If you find that the weight of the trailer does not exceed the capacities of the vehicle, you might also need the following:

Trailer Wiring Harness with 4-pole Trailer Connector, part # 118480
Ball Mount, part # C45010
2 inch Trailer Ball, part # 63845
1-7/8 inch Trailer Ball, part # 19260
