Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2013 Volvo C70
Question:
Hi, Im looking to buy a hitch for my girlfriends 2013 Volvo C70...and it looks like c11065 is the way to go. But, since Im not sure what a drawbar is and I see that its sold separately, do we actually need one? im looking to use this hitch for a bike rack mount.

First, the only trailer hitches that we have for the 2013 Volvo C70 will only fit the T5 convertible models. If it is another model then the hitch will not fit. Since you are only planning on using the hitch for a bike rack then you will not need a drawbar, also known as a ball mount or stinger. It is the part that goes into the receiver opening on the hitch that you attach a ball on to tow a trailer.
Curt trailer hitch # C11065 is a Class I trailer hitch which means that you must use a bike rack compatible with Class I hitches and you will be limited to carrying a maximum of 2 bikes. I recommend the Swagman Titan, # S63400. It is Class I compatible, holds 2 bikes, comes with anti-sway cradles, the ability to tilt and fold, an integrated cable lock, and a rise in the shank for added ground clearance.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame tube that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike) I recommend using adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level. I use adapters similar to this and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all.
