Curt 2” Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2021 Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid

Person at Cap World suggested that I get hitch model CURT 13146 and they would install it. But I see that it is not confirmed to fit the 2021 RAV 4. Also, I have the hands-free lift gate sensor and functionality may be impaired. Your suggestions for alternatives would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are correct that the Curt trailer hitch part # C13146 does not fit your 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid but I think you're just mixed up because part # C13416 does. Also, our etrailer hitch # e23ZR is a fit as well and installs in the same fashion as the Curt. The difference between the two is the etrailer has a matte finish and the Curt is glossy.

All trailer hitches that fit your RAV4 can interfere with the handsfree lift gate, however as you can see at about the 20 second mark of the video I've attached you see are installer talk about his experience with your RAV4 and this hitch and he says there will be very little interference. All you need to do is move your foot to one side or the other of the 2 inch receiver.

If you're going to be towing a trailer you're also going to need trailer wiring. I recommend the Curt # C56434 which is a direct fit for your RAV4 and Curt makes the more reliable harnesses of the ones we carry.
