Replacement Step Controller and Magnet Sensor For SCS/Fridget Controller
Question:
Hi Folks, I have a 2005 Newmar Mountain Aire. It has a 3 step stair controlled by an SCS/Fridget controller. From our testing, we think the controller has gone bad. It appears the LC301702 controller is a good swap for our steps. Would you agree with this? Also, we are thinking we should replace the door magnet as well. Our current one seems to work okay but we feel we should replace it. We cannot determine which is the correct magnet. I can tell you that when I touch the two wires together the two that connect to the magnet wires, the steps extend. Can you advise as to which magnet would be correct? Thank you so much!

The Replacement Control Module for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301702 is the correct control module to replace your SCS/Fridget controller.
Generally it is not required to replace the magnetic sensors when replacing the controller. But the Replacement Door Switch for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301694 is compatible with the replacement control module.
