Solution for Lippert CouchStep that When New Module Was Installed Steps Work in Reverse
Question:
Replaced module 164889 when connected the step operates in reverse . I inverted the motor wires and now it works but I cant get the stay out when Im at a campsite also how do you connect to purple wire to the magnetic door switch

Sounds like you replaced the module on your RV steps with a newer style which uses the opposite door magnet/sensor setup and is why your steps now operate in reverse. The newer style magnets you need then are the part # LC301694 which I attached an install video for.
I attached a diagram that shows how the purple wire connects to the steps.
