How Does Hooks of Yakima Fullback Attach to Rear of 2018 Hyundai Ioniq
Question:
Was looking at your recommendation for bike rack for the ioniq. My concern is the upper clips that seem to clip on the back window. Don’t they pull or put stress pressure on the back window glass? It looks to me like there is a half inch or so of glass before the frame comes into play.

You bring up a great point with the rear glass of your 2018 Hyundai Ioniq and how it would affect the install of the Yakima Fullback part # Y02634 that you referenced which is why Yakima states that the hooks need to be put in anchor mode which is a way to avoid the hooks from stressing the glass. This basically flips the hooks around and the glass latches over the entire hook instead. I attached a picture as well install instructions for you to check out as well.
