Bottom of C17123 Shank is Only 4 to 5 Inches Off of Ground
Question:
I purchased this C17123 shank to use on my 2021 1500 Ram. I am concerned that the bottom of the shank is only 4 to 5 inches off the ground. Should I be? It was the only way for me to get the trailer properly leveled with the Curt WD hitch I purchased from you as well.

Any weight distribution shank, including the Curt Welded Weight Distribution Shank 7" - 10 Hole Adjustment # C17123, being only 4 to 5 inches off the ground is possibly concerning when going over steeper inclines such as up a driveway or a speedbump.
That said, if it was the only way to ensure you have a level trailer, you should just be careful going over those inclines, take it slowly or possibly avoid them if you can.
