B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 2005 Ford F-350 Super Duty with 8 foot bed
Question:
Just purchased a 2005 F350 crewcab dually. 8foot bed It had rails at one time, someone took them off and put the carriage bolts back in!!????? Now rusted. On the frame there are four universal typeinch brackets. After I get these carriage bolts off welding a hex nut to top of bolts to remove my question is Will new rail bolt holes match the existing holes?? Not knowing what brand rails were there before. Are there dimensions available for the distance between the two holes at each end of the rails and the width of the new rail bolt holes, side to side? After I get the bolts out will take measurements.

It is impossible to accurately guess what rails they had installed at this point. Yes, the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit, # RP30035, that you linked to will fit your 2005 Ford F-350 Super Duty with 8 foot bed and it may even match the previously drilled holes. My suggestions however, is to go with the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails, # BWRVK2400. These custom-fit brackets mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. Just remove the old hardware left there from the previous install and use this kit that matches to existing hole locations from the factory. With this you have guarantee known fit, easy install from one of the best made in the USA manufacturers.
