Hardware For Securing Trailer Stabilizer Jacks To The Trailer Frame

Question:

If I am not able to have my stabilizers welded to my trailer what would be the next best option for securing the stabilizers to the frame? I was looking at using self tapping screws, and if able to use bolts with locking washers where I was able to. If this is the next best option what size hardware would be recommended for this?

When installing a Scissor Stabilizer Jack # TJSC-24 you can use Self-Tapping Screw # FA1131822 to secure it to your frame. I have linked a video below that will show you the installation of these on a travel trailer frame. Since these jacks are only for stabilizing the trailer you do not need super heavy duty fasteners. The ones we have are 1/4" and you can use up to 5/16" with the outer holes in this stabilizer.
