Is New Mounting Hardware Needed For The etrailer Scissor Stabilizer Jack # TSJC-24
Question:
Do I need to purchase new self tapping screws for the Item # TJSC-24? And how many if so? Are there any other parts I will need to replace it myself?

Expert Reply:
I typically just reuse the same hardware as long as it isn't rusting out and the threads are still good when swapping out scissor jacks, like the # TJSC-24. Scissor jacks typically won't come with any hardware so if your current hardware is trashed then you will want to pick up some new self-tappers. Most scissor jacks will have a minimum of 2-bolts/screws per mounting bracket but if your frame allows you can use 4 per bracket. On I-beam frames the center of the beam typically blocks some of the mounting holes.
