Electric Trailer Brakes like the # AKEBRK-6R you were looking at are pretty easy to wire to your trailer. On the back of the brake assembly there is two wires that go to the brake magnet. Pick one of the wires and ground it to the frame of your trailer by adding a ring terminal # DW05737-1 and a self tapping screw. If the wire is not long enough to reach the frame then you will need to add a piece of # 16-1-1.
The other wire going to the brake magnet will need to get connected to the junction box on your trailer, and will get attached to the same post as the brake output wire coming from your 7-way connector. If your trailer does not already have electric trailer brakes then you will need to run # 10-1-1 to make this connection.
It does not matter which wire you choose for which function.
I included a video of the # AKEBRK-6R being installed for you to take a look at.
