Could Optronics LED Clearance Light # MCL95AB Ground with Wire

Question:

Can this light be grounded another way to a boat trailer as opposed to via the mounting fastener to the trailer only? This specific light looks like the best candidate for several replacement lights needed on my trailer but Im not sure I want to rely exclusively on the fastener to ground it as I understand this method may be unreliable. Any advice or input would be much appreciated before I go ahead and place the order!

Lights that ground through their mounting hardware are very reliable but if you wanted to use a ground wire instead you'd just need to run a ground wire to the mounting hardware and you'd accomplish what you are looking for.
