The Draw-Tite # 76199 Class III hitch which is a fit for your 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio does have a pretty involved installation which would require that the rear bumper cover and bumper beam be removed. The hitch would take the place of the bumper beam which won't affect the crashworthiness of the vehicle.

Because of the complexity of the installation, I'll typically recommend that folks who aren't comfortable attempting an install of this sort have an auto body shop complete the install. An auto body shop would be well versed in how to quickly and efficiently remove body panels like the bumper cover without damaging it.

The Curt Class III hitch, part # C13391 is a bit easier to install, but it would be more visible, as the hitch crossbar would not be concealed behind the bumper like that of the Draw-Tite # 76199.

If you'd prefer a roof mounted option, the SeaSucker Komodo would work perfectly, according to SeaSucker, it'll work on any vehicle and doesn't have to be used on the rear hatch or trunk, it can also easily be mounted to the vehicle roof, which would work best on your Stelvio. The Komodo is available in a variety of colors:

• Black, part # 298-BK1910-BK
• Aqua Blue, part # 298-BK1910-AB
• Silver, part # 298-BK1910-SV
• Gold, part # 298-BK1910-GO

The Komodo uses 4 vacuum cups (suction cups) that are capable of holding 210 lbs each, so it'll handle a bike on the vehicle roof just fine.

I've provided links to the installation instructions for the hitches mentioned above, as well as to a demonstration video for the SeaSucker Komodo bike rack.
