Does the Open End Of The Slipper Spring Require a Bushing?

Question:

I just installed this on my single axle 1996 escort 4300 lb trailer I researched your product and bought it from you. My concern is the open end that faces the back just rests of the bolt itself? The hangers are welded on and only had the bolts in them! Yes the front side has the bushing in it. Is this correct on the install. And yes I installed all new u bolts and Shackle bolts!

The 4-Leaf Slipper Spring # e33SR does not require a bushing on the rear bolt that retains the open end of the slipper spring. You are correct in the way that you have installed this on your 1996 Escort trailer.
