Replacement Slipper Springs for EZ Loader Trailer with 26-1/4 Inch Springs

Question:

I am looking to replace my 4 rusted leaf springs. The ones I have are 26.25 inch in length, from middle of eye to slipper, 5 leaves. The width measures 1.5 inches, maybe slightly more. The closest thing I found on your website was 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Open Eye End for 4,300-lb Trailer Axles - 26-1/4inch Long. Would I be able to use these? I have a tandem axle trailer with 7k capacity EZ Loader. I was unsure about the width, and if a 1 and 3/4 measurement is actually 1.5 true inches. Thanks

The Slipper Spring # e33SR referenced in your question is indeed the closest option we have available for a slipper spring that matches the dimensions on your trailer. Slipper springs come in 1-3/4 inch, 2 inch, 2-1/2 inch, and 3 inch widths, so you most likely do have a 1-3/4 inch width spring set, especially since you mentioned that it looks a bit over 1-1/2 inches.

The 26-1/4 inch length on this slipper spring matches the length on your set exactly. The only potential issue is that these springs are designed for 4,300 pound axles. Most likely your EZ Loader is equipped with 3,500 pound axles, so the over-rated springs may cause a bit of a rougher ride. With that being said, finding those with matching dimensions is still the most important factor, so this will be your best option.
