Replacement Dexter Hub Drums and Brake Assemblies for Drums With 8-247 Casting Number

Question:

Hi, I have a dual axle travel trailer with Dexter Axles and electric brakes. I would like to order assembled brakes and hubs to fit, but I need to be sure that I am ordering the right stuff. My Dexter Hub has a number 8-247 stamped into it. The brake assembly has these numbers. 023-469-00 Right Hand 8748102110 Can you tell me if this is the right number for a 3,500 # axle with 10 inch drums? Thanks.

You have a typical 3500 lb brake hub/drum. The correct replacement drum would be # 84546UC3 for standard spindles or # 84546UC3-EZ for an E-Z Lube spindle. The hubs include the inner and outer wheel bearing, inner and outer races, the grease seal, dust cap and lug nuts. The hub/drums are sold individually. As you can see in the photo, this hub has the same casting number as yours, so it is a proper replacement.

The Dexter 023-469 is a self adjusting 10 inch brake assembly. To replace it, I'd recommend the # 23-468-469 which includes the left and right brake assembly as well as the mounting hardware and the mud/crud plugs to cover the adjuster holes.
