Suggested Hanging Bike Rack for a 2015 Mazda 6
Question:
Hi, Im looking for a hanging or platform rack that will accommodate one step thru beach cruiser ebike with a weight of 41 lbs without battery and wheelbase of 51inch and a MTB of about 30 pounds. I drive a 2015 mazda6 with a 1 1/4inch trailer hitch. I cannot seem to find a platform rack that will work with that long wheelbase so Im thinking a hanging rack might be the way to go...Please help!

The weight and length of the e-bike definitely complicates things when you have a Class I 1-1/4 hitch, but it is not impossible. We currently do not have a hanging style bike rack that can handle your e-bike, though.
I do have a platform rack that may also work for you, however. The Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH23JV will work with bikes that have a 50 1/2 wheel base, making it just off of your measurement. Though the hanging rack will most likely be the better option, I thought I would throw this one out there as well.
