Installation of Roadmaster Charge Line Kit on 2014 Ford Edge and RV For Flat Towing
Question:
The diagram on your page shows the center pin of the 7 way connector that is part of the motorhome as the reverse light wire. The diagram in the roadmaster kit that I received shows the center pin of the 7 way as the aux pin. I wired the roadmaster kit to my car using the 6 way and that said to put the charge line in the center position of the 6 way. I have the 7 way to 6 way converter cable to go between my motorhome and my car. Now when I looked at the 7 way it has 7 wires connected to it already. Can I just splice into the center wire of the 7 way and hook up the roadmaster 156-75 charge line and is the center line really correct as you show it different on your page vs the instructions

Expert Reply:
Typically when a 7 way is installed initially on a tow vehicle the reverse light circuit is on the center pin. When you're installing the Roadmaster Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75 you're going to want to install it on the center pin where the reverse light circuit previously was- you'll want to cut that wire completely off and wire in the new wiring directly.
