Recommended Ball Mount For 2012 Ford Mustang V6 Towing Trailer W/ 17" Coupler Height

Question:

I am in process of getting the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver. Putting this on stock 2012 v6 with 19in rims. What will be the hitch height on this? I could not find this anywhere on the internet. Need to know for what kind of raiser I need to get. My coupler height is 17in.

Where we installed the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11210 on a similar 2014 Ford Mustang V6 we found that from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver measured 10-1/2".

As long as the tires on your 19" wheels are the same overall height as the factory tires on your Mustang, this measurement will be the same for your vehicle.

I recommend the Curt Class I Drawbar - 5" Rise - 11-9/16" Long - 2,000 lbs # C45025 as this is the most rise available in a ball mount that is long enough to clear the rear bumper on your vehicle. For a hitch ball you will need the 1-7/8" # C40001 or 2" # C40018, and hitch pin and clip # F-4.

If you do not already have a vehicle wiring harness installed you will also need # 118487.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
