Is a 4-Flat Wiring Harness Required for Hitch Installation on a 2021 Hyundai Palisade?
Question:
I have a 2021 Hyundai Palisade SEL and plan to purchase the tow hitch and want to know if the wiring harness is necessary. I inquired at the Hyundai dealership that if i purchase the tow hitch that i also need the harness as well. The only purpose for the tow hitch is for the bike rack. Thanks

For using a bike rack on your 2021 Hyundai Palisade the wiring harness is not a requirement. I do encourage the installation of the Wiring Harness # CU94FR so that if you need to add some Curt Auxiliary Lights # C53201 due to the bikes blocking your taillights you do have the option.
When installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13427 if you choose to also install the Wiring Harness # CU94FR, you can use the Mounting Brackets # 18144 and # C57202 to secure the plug to your hitch.
