Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2020 Ford F-250 Short Bed with OEM Prep Package
Question:
I have a 2020 F-250 Super Duty a 6foot 10inch bed, does that sound right? So I have been reading and see I need a slider hitch I have been reading the reviews for the Curt. Would this be a good hitch for me, I plan on pulling a GVWR of 10995 lbs. I was looking at the 16,000 lb. hitch would this work with the OEM puck system that I have?

Yes. Typically with a short bed truck like your 2020 Ford F-250 you will need a sliding hitch to help avoid contact with the truck cab when making some turns. The Curt A16 # C16520-16020 is a nice choice that will work in your OEM pucks and provide you with an additional 12" of travel when you get into tight spots.
You will need to manually activate the slider on this hitch before you make the turn, so if you're not completely comfortable with judging when you'll need to engage a slider you may want to consider the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Ford Super Duty Prep Package - 18K # DM8550024. The Hijacker slider automatically engages during turns so there's no accidental damage to the truck cab because you forgot to engage the slider.
