What is The Correct Wiring Harness for a 2009 Toyota Highlander with Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2009 Toyota Highlander and I got the factory tow package which did not come with a hitch, but was supposed to have a prewired harness. Ive installed the hitch, but now I need to complete the wiring harness. I was hoping the wiring would be even easier than the relatively simple installation the harness you sell requires part 118449. Is this the harness I need with the tow package or is there an even simpler one?

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, item # 118449, is the correct trailer wiring harness for your pre-wired Highlander. This is the only wiring harness for the 2009 Toyota Highlander that does not require hard wiring a harness to the vehicle taillight circuits and running a power wire to the vehicle battery which is much more involved. The instructions for this item (see link) show exactly how and where to make the connections and tell you where to mount the converter box.
You wont have any problems installing the wiring harness and if you have any questions while installing we are here to help.
