Brake Controller for 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I need to install a brake controller on my 2020 Outback Onyx XT. I dont want wireless. Its currently wired with a 4-pin harness from the factory. Looking at the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller. Is this possible? Im reading online theres a lot of confusion for where to tie into the brake control wire on these outbacks.

You can definitely install the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 on your 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon. You will need to install # ETBC7 in order to get the proper wiring for brakes. Your factory 4 pole will tie into the ETBC7. As for which wire to connect to the brake signal wire, the best way to find it is to use a circuit tester # PTW2993 the test the wires for a brake signal when you depress the brakes.
