Recommended Hitch and Bike Rack for a Roll Low-Entry and a Kids Bike on a 2010 Honda CR-V
Question:
Hi. I have a specialized roll low entry bike and a 20 inch kids bike that I want to carry on the back of my 2010 Honda CR-V. I already have spare tire bike rack on a different SUV, and neither bike fits very well. I think both bikes are difficult to find a bike rack that fits. Can you give me any suggestions? Id also like to get a hitch for my Honda, if you can recommend something that would work with the bike rack you think would work best for me. Thanks!

For your 2010 Honda CR-V, a hitch and hitch-mounted rack is a good choice to carry your bikes.
For the hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III, part # 75547. It has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 675 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 4500 pounds with a 2" receiver. I've linked to a video installation of this hitch for you to look at.
For your rack, I recommend the Saris Freedom, part # SA4412B. This will fit the 2" receiver and secures bikes by their frames. The frame mounts can be adjusted as can the the wheel cradles, allowing it to secure a variety of bike styles. I've linked to a video review of this one as well.
