Will Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution Hitch C17501 Work With 9,900 lb GVWR Trailer
Question:
Hi my toy hauler has a GVW of 9900lbs and is about 6000 lbs. dry and will upgrade to a larger trailer later. with the understanding 17501 compatibility 10 to 15 thous rate. will it accommodate the lighter trailer properly? Does the 17501 come with a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 shank Truck has a class 5 tow hitch.

The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System with Sway Control # C17501 is actually going to be perfect for your toy hauler with a 9,900 lb GVWR. The reason for that is this system is designed for total tongue weights between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs, and since tongue weight is approximately 10 to 15 percent of GVWR, the TruTrack is rated precisely right for your toy hauler.
The system does come with a 2 inch shank, so you will just need to get a 2-1/2 inch shank separately, the Curt Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2" Hitches # C17131.
